Summer Birch
Fine-art giclée print on Hahnemühle German Etching paper
Summer Birch feels like a warm walk through the woods, with pale birch trunks standing out against the greens of summer. The loose marks give it a lively, sun-dappled feel without making the scene feel too polished.
The four paintings in "Seasons" were created as a single composition, with each piece showing the same birch landscape at a different point in the year. They can be enjoyed individually, but together they form one complete work, moving from spring through summer and autumn into winter.
The original was painted by my late grandmother, Mary Crawford, between approximately 1970 and 1990. Her paintings had been tucked away for decades, and rediscovering them has brought back many memories of her and the home she created around her. Sharing these prints feels like a lovely way of allowing her work to live on and become part of other people's homes too.
This is a high-quality fine art reproduction of my grandmother’s original painting, produced on Hahnemühle German Etching, a museum-quality, archival fine art paper using giclée printing.
