Delivery & Returns
Last updated 24 August 2026
Gifford Gates Studio sells Mary Crawford fine-art prints and surviving Aviemore Pottery pieces. Prints and pottery are fulfilled separately, so a mixed order may arrive in more than one parcel.
Delivery charges
Delivery is calculated before you continue to Stripe Checkout and is shown separately from the price of the goods.
Mary Crawford prints
Prints are made to order through Prodigi. Print delivery is quoted for the delivery country using Prodigi’s available shipping quote for the selected products.
Aviemore Pottery
| Pottery size class | UK | International |
|---|---|---|
| Small | £10 | £30 |
| Medium | £12 | £32 |
| Large | £14 | £35 |
For an order containing more than one pottery piece, the highest normal pottery delivery charge is charged in full and each additional pottery piece adds 50% of its normal delivery charge.
For deliveries outside the United Kingdom, local customs charges, import duties or taxes may be payable by the recipient. These are not included unless the checkout expressly says otherwise.
Delivery timing
Mary Crawford prints are made to order. They are typically expected to arrive in approximately 7–10 working days, although production and delivery times vary by destination and may occasionally take longer.
Pottery is packed and posted separately from the United Kingdom. Delivery time depends on the destination and postal or courier service used.
If a material delay affects your order, we will contact you. Unless a different delivery period has been agreed with you, goods will be delivered without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is made.
Cancelling an online order
For most consumer purchases made through this website, you may cancel without giving a reason within 14 days beginning on the day after you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods.
To cancel, email hello@giffordgatesstudio.co.uk with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may use the model cancellation form below, but you do not have to.
After telling us that you are cancelling, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Made-to-order prints
The standard size, frame and mount combinations offered on this website are made to order, but we do not treat them as personalised solely for that reason. The normal distance-selling cancellation rights described above therefore apply unless a product is specifically identified as personalised or otherwise legally exempt.
Returns and refunds
For a change-of-mind cancellation, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us unless we agree otherwise. Please package returned artwork or pottery carefully and obtain suitable proof of postage.
You may inspect goods as you would reasonably be able to in a shop. We may make a deduction from a refund if handling beyond that which is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods has reduced their value.
Where you validly cancel the whole order, we will refund the price paid and the cost of our least-expensive standard delivery option. If you chose a more expensive delivery service, the additional delivery cost is not refundable. Refunds are normally made using the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence that you have sent them back, where the law allows us to wait for that evidence.
Damaged, faulty or incorrect goods
Please contact us as soon as possible at hello@giffordgatesstudio.co.uk if an order arrives damaged, is faulty, is not as described or is not what you ordered. Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy.
Some Aviemore Pottery pieces are vintage seconds. Known glaze variations, marks or imperfections that form part of the individual piece are shown or described where practicable and are part of the character of the item. This does not remove your rights if the goods have a separate fault or are not as described.
