The following seller details are provided here as part of the legal information for purchases from this website.

Gifford Gates Studio is operated by Philippa Macintyre, a sole trader trading as Gifford Gates Studio.

2. These terms

These terms apply to goods purchased through giffordgatesstudio.co.uk. Please read them together with our Delivery & Returns information and Privacy Notice.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

3. Products

Mary Crawford artwork

Mary Crawford prints are giclée fine-art reproductions printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper. The sizes shown are print dimensions. Framed products may include the frame and mount selections shown on the relevant product page.

We take care to present the artwork faithfully, but colours can vary slightly between monitors, devices and printed output because displays are calibrated differently and paper is viewed under different lighting conditions.

Aviemore Pottery

One-off salt pigs, vases and other individually listed pottery pieces are sold as the exact photographed piece. Once a successful payment is confirmed, the piece is marked sold and cannot be purchased by another customer.

Nessie and sheep listings are representative listings rather than exact photographed pieces. Handmade glaze colour, markings and small details vary. Nessies are supplied with the number of hump sections selected at checkout.

Vintage seconds may have small imperfections arising from their handmade manufacture. We describe or photograph known characteristics where practicable.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Delivery is calculated before checkout and added to the order total.

Payment is taken securely using Stripe Checkout. Gifford Gates Studio does not receive or store your full payment-card number.

Payment is normally taken when you complete Stripe Checkout. Payment does not cause Mary Crawford print orders to be sent automatically to production: paid print orders are reviewed before they are manually submitted to Prodigi for fulfilment.

5. Orders and availability

When you submit and pay for an order, you are asking us to supply the goods shown in your order. Stripe’s payment confirmation acknowledges the transaction. If we are unable to fulfil the order—for example because of a stock error, production issue, pricing error or delivery restriction—we will contact you and refund any affected amount promptly.

One-off pottery is temporarily reserved while a customer completes checkout. A reservation may expire if checkout is not completed. Representative Nessie and sheep stock may be limited and individual options can be withdrawn when stock is depleted.

6. Delivery

Prints and pottery are fulfilled separately and may arrive in separate parcels. Delivery prices and estimated timings are described on our Delivery & Returns page and are shown or calculated before checkout.

For international orders, the customer is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or similar local charges unless the checkout expressly states that they are included.

7. Cancellation, returns and refunds

Your cancellation and return rights are explained in detail on our Delivery & Returns page. For most online consumer purchases, this includes a 14-day cancellation period after receipt, followed by a further period in which to return the goods.

Standard Mary Crawford print configurations offered on this website are not treated as personalised merely because they are made to order.

8. Faulty or misdescribed goods

Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where those requirements apply. If you believe an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, contact hello@giffordgatesstudio.co.uk. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

9. Copyright and website content

Artwork images, photographs, text and other content on this website are protected by copyright or other intellectual-property rights. Purchasing a print or pottery piece does not transfer copyright in the artwork, image or design.

You may not reproduce, commercially use or distribute Mary Crawford artwork images from this website without permission from the relevant rights holder.

We use personal information to process orders, arrange delivery, provide customer service, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. See our Privacy Notice for more information.
