Vintage Sheep

£22

Small vintage sheep made by Aviemore Pottery Scotland in roughly the 1970s, although the exact date is uncertain.

The basic sheep form was made using a mould, then the wool texture and surface details were applied by hand before glazing. This hand-finishing means that individual sheep still have their own small variations in texture, glaze, colour and character.

These are representative stock pieces rather than unique hand-built sculptures, so the sheep received may differ slightly from the photographs.

As with surviving vintage pottery, there may be small imperfections in places. These are part of the character and history of the piece.
